Welcome to Authors First, a book-to-screen studio and distribution platform bringing beloved books to life, with the author in the director’s chair. Meet Founder and CEO Rob Hamwee, along with two of our authors: Conn Iggulden (Genghis: Birth of an Empire, The Dangerous Book for Boys) and Peter F. Hamilton (Pandora's Star, The Reality Dysfunction).

There’s a definitive version of every story: the one that existed in the author’s mind. We give authors the creative control and tools to bring stories to screen. For fans, this unlocks a true “watch the book” experience, adapting their favorite books in ways they never thought possible.

Authors First utilizes a human-led, AI-enabled production model centered on direct author involvement. The studio collaborates closely with the author on every detail: character creation, casting, script, storyboarding, virtual cinematography, and the final piece. Then, creative artists use AI and technology as tools to bring the author’s unlimited imagination to life.
